Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, Santa Clara Valley Chapter, 2731 N. First
St., San Jose, Calif. 95134; call the United Way at (408) 247-1200. Specify
that you would like your donation to go to the victims of the terrorist attack.

- Give to the September
11th Fund, created by the United Way of New York City and the New York
Community Trust. Contributions may be sent in care of United Way of New York
City, 2 Park Ave., New York, N.Y. 10016. For information, call (212) 251-4035.
- Some Bay Area community foundations will pass on donations to the September
11th Fund. Contact Peninsula Community Foundation in San Mateo at (650) 581-4312
(www.pcf.org), the East Bay Community Foundation

or the San Francisco Foundation at (415) 733-8588.
- The San Francisco Police Officers Association has a fund for families of
New York City police officers killed during the terrorist attacks. Send donations
to NYPD Survivor Trust Fund, in care of the S.F. Police Credit Union, 2550

- The San Mateo County Deputy Sheriff's Association has set up a fund for
New York police officers. Send checks to the San Mateo Credit Union Account
434797 for the NYPD Relief Fund, Box 910, Redwood City, Calif. 94064-0910.
- San Francisco Firefighters Union Local 798 has a disaster relief fund for
the New York firefighters who died in the terrorist attacks. Send donations
to New York City Firefighters Local No. 94, care of the San Francisco Fire
Credit Union, 3201 California St., San Francisco, CA 94118.
- San Jose car dealers and Autonation, a national franchise, will host a used
car sale today [Fri., 9/14] through Sunday at Shoreline Amphitheatre, with
a percentage of the proceeds going to Red Cross relief efforts.
- The New York Patrolmen's Benevolent Association has set up a fund for widows

- The New York City Uniformed Firefighters Association also has a fund for
